Εastern Montpellier snake (Malpolon insignitus)

M. insignitus ranges from eastern Morocco through Algeria and from Tunisia around the Mediterranean Sea to western Syria, including Cyprus. In Morocco and western Algeria. Daily snake with fast and nervous movement. It can reach 200cm in length. Varies in colors. It is a venomous, but completely harmless to humans snake as it is posterior (the teeth that erupt the venom are located inside the oral cavity) with very weak venom. We often see it in Thassos
